lol

I love it when young 25 year old indie hipsters like the guy who runs pitchfork media give, in addition to all the lo-fi indie bands he loves, bands like the beatles 10/10 ratings on all their albums...not because they are actually 10/10 albums, but because he feels obliged to give the same bullshit rating his ancestors did...simply on the criteria of "they were the first to do it" or some bullshit like that.

Meanwhile, legitimately fantastic albums that excell in their genre, notably prog metal albums by bands like Tool and such, get 0.5/10, due to his bias against prog metal.

Seriously, you should go read one of Pitchfork Media's reviews, some of the most pretentious bullshit I've ever heard.

Here's an example: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/5799-the-fragile/

Many, many critics and fans believe that this album, The Fragile, is one of the most musically diverse and creative albums ever made.  It's not a huge well known album, but it's very, very interesting for a unorthodox rock album.

Pitchfork's Review is astonishing, and they point out a few lyrics they thought to be "emo" (the only occurences in that album, btw) to be the basis of their 2.0 rating.

It's extremely inane, and pretty funny.
